Well, I am posting this weekend instead of last weekend because I am sane again! If you would like details you will need to talk with my husband, but it wasn't pretty. :) To say the least, the adoption process can be difficult at times.
When I was "down" I started reading a new Karen Kingsbury book, she is a great Christian author. In the book she referred to Phillippians 4 over and over and over again. I started to think, should I be reading that verse and the answer was clearly YES I should! Read on...
Phillippians 4:4-9 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable - if anything is excellent or praiseworthy - think about such things. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me - put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.
Wow Lord, you couldn't have been more clear. So now instead of worrying about the adoption and feeling anxious about not knowing I take a deep breath, pray and put God into practice. Needless to say, I had a great week!
